Aerotek is currently seeking a Structural Engineer for a San Diego local company. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the ideal candidate possesses a degree in Structural engineering and 7+ years of experience Heavy industrial/mining equipment. If you are interested in applying please highlight your experience in Heavy Structural Engineering equipment (such as conveyors, Ship loaders, reclaimers/stackers, coal handling and/or mining equipment).
Responsibilities will include structural analyses on project sites (conveyors, bulk material handling equipment, industrial equipment etc.) The Structural Engineer will also be responsible for managing the structural and design aspect of the system, engaging site investigations, developing structural details and providing construction support and analysis.
Job Requirements:
- BS in Structural Engineering with 7+ years of direct hands on experience;
- Experience in the mining/bulk material handling equipment
- Structural analysis
- Knowledge of US and international structural engineering standards and codes
- Must be able to use AUTOCAD, RISA, RISA 2-D, Staad, Ansys.
- Structural design & analysis of industrial and mobile equipment
- Knowledge of welding standards and methods
- Retrofits to improve efficiency on existing plants.
- Quality Control of all designs
- Some domestic and international travel will be required.
