 Position Title:            Senior TSF Engineer   Reports To:               TSF Engineering Superintendent   Location:                    Mine Site     GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities include:  The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning, design, and engineering of the Tailings Storage Facilities at PVDC.  Provide engineering and technical support for the TSF team.  Ensure correct procedures are followed regarding safety and environmental objectives.  Direct and manage the engineer of record and other engineering consultants.  Interface with TSF construction to support planning and constructability of designs.  Analyse conflicts, negotiate resolutions, set priorities and make sound and timely decisions to ensure storage requirements are met. Develop and manage engineering budgets and schedules.  Develop construction cost estimates.  Assist in the solicitation, preparation, analysis, award, and management of engineering proposals and contracts.     SELECTION CRITERIA BASIC REQUIREMENTS:  To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (mining, civil, geotechnical, or related) required.
  • Knowledge in tailings facility design, construction, and operation required.
  • 5+ years engineering experience required.
  • Experience with feasibility studies, budgeting, project planning required.
  • Past supervisory experience preferred.
  • Competence in MS office required. Oracle knowledge preferred.
  • Competence in AutoCAD and Vulcan required.
  • Knowledge in project or scheduling software required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
