Aker Solutions' Engineering team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is involved in Concept and Front End Engineering Design, Detailed Design Engineering and Project Management for development projects. We need talented/experienced engineers who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Asia Pacific market. We are looking for Project Manager:

Responsibilities and tasks

·•  Responsible for the administration of the Contract with Client including day-to-day management of Project Team to meet the requirement to schedule, cost and quality.

·•  Responsible through Project Interface Engineer for the management of interface engineering of the facilities associated with the Project works.

·•  Execute the Scope of Work, as spelled out by the Contract, including Variation Orders, procedures or instructions issued by Client, all in accordance with the Project Master Schedule, through day-to-day direction of all departments through Project Engineers and Project Services engineers.

·•  Prepare and issue by weekly and monthly progress reports to Client. Conduct regular progress review or other meetings with Client.

·•  Ensure that the Project is carried out in accordance with the Project QA/HSE programme.

·•  Establish and maintain an efficient organisation including approval of key personnel. Ensure that Client approval for such staff is obtained.

·•  Ensure that all departments work to Project Procedures and that such procedures are approved by Client as required.

·•  The Project Manager has primary responsibility for the technical and financial success of the project.

·•  Reviews the Contract and other legal information on the project.

·•  Schedules and presides over the initial project planning meeting, kick-off meeting and arranges regular project staff meetings.

·• Responsible for the preparation of all project documents and reports including Job Instructions and progress reports.

·•  Responsible for establishing a project organisation and arranges for adequate staffing of each position and for efficient utilisation of the assigned team.

•  Responsible, through the Project Engineer, for the execution of design engineering.

·•   Is responsible, through the Project Planning and Cost Engineer, for issuing the project budget and cost reports and for reviewing Client billing.

·•  Responsible, through Project Planning and Cost Engineer, for the routine preparation and issue of project schedules and progress reports.

·•  Responsible for initiating, approving and seeking Client approval of all Change Orders.

·•  Arranges Client acceptance of the deliverables and arranges for project and contract close out.

Qualifications & personal attributes

·•  Should have a Degree in any Engineering discipline.

•  Should have at least 10 years experience in project management for Oil and Gas industry.
