Qualifications for this position include:• Bachelor of Science degree in Mineral Processing or equivalent experience,• Five years of operations experience in a metal extraction mill,• The successful candidate will possess:ü A strong safety culture background and belief in placing safety first;ü An intense passion for mill operations and producing quality concentrates;ü Excellent communication skills;ü Ability to plan, implement and interpret in-plant and laboratory metallurgical testing;ü A long range goal of evaluating, designing and implementing process improvements.ü Budget development experience is necessary.ü Capability to maintain and calibrate X-Met analyzers;ü Experience with Microsoft Office Suite;BASIC FUNCTION:This position shares responsibility, with operations foremen, for operation and all metallurgical aspects of the plant including achieving budgeted targets for metal recovery, metal distribution, and concentrate grades.The Mill Metallurgist’s direct responsibility includes the safe and productive operation of the crushing, grinding, flotation and the tailings impoundment. This position is responsible for all metallurgical test work, both in-house and outside projects and responsible for metallurgical accounting, including creation of new accounting programs as needed.  The position will be open until filled.Montana Resources offers a competitive wage and benefit package.
