Position Summary
Support the Safety and Emergency Response Manager and advise on Emergency Response issues relating to Company operations as required
Support the HSEQ&S Department in achieving its Goals and Objectives as set out in the HSE-MS, HSE Plan and HSE Policies and Procedures
Position Details
Support the Safety and Emergency Response Manager in ensuring the implementation of the Company HSE-MS, HSE Plan and HSE Policies and Procedures.
Advise on emergency response issues relating to all aspects of the Company operations, including defining and researching issues and contributing to their solutions
Advise on Safety legislation as applicable to any aspect of Company related operations
Assist Contractor Companies with emergency response processes in line with the company/contractor management requirements involving interface documents, HSE MS and HSE plans
Advise on emergency response aspects of Risk Assessments, Risk Management, for Company and contractors
Assist in the Incident Investigation and Reporting process
Support and assist in delivering HSE annual targets and objectives
Assist in HAZID / HAZOPS process as requested.
Assist in planning and execution of internal/external audits; follow-up on agreed corrective actions as requested
Advise on Emergency Response (ER) procedures and their compliance at all operational locations
Monitor the close-out of corrective actions arising from all Emergency Response activities
Undertake site visits for regular inspections, verify corrective action close-outs
Develop/maintain Emergency Response Documentation Systems, Plans, Procedures, Standards, and facilities to reflect changing operational circumstances and best industry practices
Develop/conduct table top and major exercises; including preparation and running of Major and Minor Emergency Response exercises during the year involving the Emergency Response Organization from originating location
Monitor and support the development of Drills and Exercise Programs for both on and offshore locations; coaching Emergency Response team members on site as required
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering and/or Fire Protection Engineering discipline
5+ years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry with exposure to onshore & offshore operations
Associate Safety Professional-ASP Certification (or ability to obtain upon employment)
3+ years of safety/emergency response experience within the US Gulf of Mexico
Membership of a recognised professional body
Certified Safety Professional-CSP (or equivalent)
