OPEN CUT EXAMINER – DAWSON MINE

We currently have a permanent vacancy for an experienced Open Cut Examiner (OCE).  As the Open Cut Examiner your role will be to monitor, inspect and report across mining operations to ensure all activities and conditions are safe, compliant with relevant legislation and Dawson SHEC requirements.  To be successful in this role you will possess knowledge of mining legislation, safety, health, environment and community systems and open cut mining techniques with a minimum of 2 years OCE experience and you must have a current OCE ticket and S1, S2, S3 & G2 qualifications.

As an OCE you'll encompass OCE duties and utilise your strong people management skills to coordinate teams and equipment resources ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Dawson SHEC requirements. Your strong track record of leadership and proactive safety management and demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement along with excellent communication skills and the capacity to deliver compliance through direction, education and consultation as required is essential.

Dawson Mine is located near the township of Moura within the Banana Shire, which is well serviced with education, health care, recreation, employment and lifestyle options.
