An excellent opporunity for an experienced Technical Services Superintendent to join our team at the McArthur River Mine site. McArthur River Mining Pty Ltd operates a zinc-lead-silver mine in which 2.2 million tonnes of ore is extracted each year. McArthur River Mine is Fly-in; Fly-out based from Darwin, and is located in the Gulf of Carpentaria region of the Northern Territory.  

Reporting to the Mining Manager the Technical Services Superintendent will be responsible for the design, planning and scheduling of the Mining operations.Key responsibilities of this role will be: 

• Leadership and development of the Technical Services team;
• Input into budget generation and tracking of budget targets;
• Maximise productivity and performance efficiency of the Mining operation;
• Provision on long, medium and short term scheduling direction to the operation;
• Ownership of the Mine Reserve process;
• Compliance with all required reporting targets;
• Continuous improvement to technical services processes;
• Ensure clear communication within the Mining Department and all other departments on site
• Commit to safe work practices through application of the job safety processes and adeherence to safe work procedures

To be a success in this role you will have degree qualifications in mining engineering, geology or other related qualification, with a minimum 8 years mining experience and recent open cut and supervisory experience. You will provide leadership and support to team members along with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with VULCAN software will be an advantage.
