Geologist needed for a full-time employment opportunity with an E&P company in Lafayette, Louisiana. The ideal match for this position will have a bachelor’s degree in geology, a minimum of ten years in the oil industry with at least five years of recent deepwater experience, and strong fundamental knowledge of 3D seismic interpretation using Landmark software, and familiarity with the Pete Rose risking program. Responsibilities include integrating well data and seismic, generating isopachs for reserve estimation pre-drill and post drill, providing analog data for support of drilling opportunities, identifying and quantifying risk using the Pete Rose software, and providing information to the drilling group to plan wells, including working with outside contractors to determine directional plans and logging programs.
