Having previously held a Senior or Superintendent position you will possess an exceptional range of underground mining experience.   

Your previous Senior roles in mining companies should have given you extensive experience in all facets of geology including production, exploration and ore-body modeling. 

Key Accountabilities  

• Coordinate production Geology through liaison, planning, monitoring and scheduling
• Play a key role with both the mine design and operational teams to ensure that geological deliverables are achieved
• Mapping, geological interpretations & driving the geological team by integrating knowledge and systems
• Manage the mines resource and reserve development strategy
• Manage Grade Control contractors to ensure they meet their key performance indicators
• Advocate an environment of continuous improvement.
• Manage effective and efficient Grade Control systems and procedures
• Supervising, training and mentoring mine geologists and technicians
• Coordinate near mine exploration programs

To be considered for this role you require:  

• A tertiary qualification in Geology along with extensive experience at a senior level 
• Demonstrated leadership skills to support the coaching and mentoring of the Geology Team; as well as a sound knowledge of statutory safety requirements.
• Underground Geology background, 7+ years seen as a baseline
• Extensive and proven Grade Control experience
• Proven experience supervising drilling programs.
• A high level of computer literacy and proficiency with appropriate software
• Excellent communication and team building skills
