We Offer

The Structural Evaluation section, part of General Engineering in Maersk Drilling, is responsible for ensuring engineering support to the Operation and Commercial Departments plus our Towmasters. The section internally supports the modification projects handled by the Technical Organisation, but also smaller projects on the rigs in operation. It is furthermore approving the different sites for our units, when the rig shall be relocated.

Key Responsibilities

• You will support our Operation and Commercial department plus our own Technical Organisation with solutions and comments to structural related issues on units, in tenders and project groups.

• The relocation of the rigs requires knowledge about the location the rig moves to, i.e. the seabed and the environmental loads. This involves close contact with our Rig Managers, Towmasters and our external consultants.

• You will participate in projects in relation to existing units as well as new buildings. This includes trips offshore onboard the units to carry out surveys, supervise project execution or similar.

• You will obtain and maintain general knowledge and understanding of key areas and perform specialist duties on selected areas as agreed.

• You will furthermore ensure that the design is in compliance with the contractual requirements, good engineering practice and rules, regulations and standards applicable for the relevant work.

Who we are looking for

• You have a theoretical background on a Bachelor/Master level as engineer or naval architect and minimum three to five years of relevant experience from the offshore or marine industry.

• You have a strong focus on delivering quality and meeting deadlines in your work plus a focus on structure and details.

• You enjoy working independently as well as being a part of a team.

• You are fluent in English.
