Our client is an Australian based Resource Company with a number of prospective Coking Coal and Thermal Coal projects in well known regions of Queensland. An opportunity now exists for an ambitious exploration geologist to join this rapidly growing company and help build a successful portfolio of projects.

Reporting to the Senior Project Geologist you will be responsible for some if not all of the following:  

• Overseeing exploration drilling and field geology programs
• Engaging and overseeing drilling and other contractors
• Imparting a work ethic in keeping with efficient and safe standards
• Ensuring the accurate and efficient collection and interpretation of the project geological data
• Compliance with Statutory and internal reporting requirements

You will possess:

• A positive work ethic with a result focus
• Effective communication skills being able to deal with a variety of stakeholders
• Previous experience in coal exploration
• A tertiary qualification in geology - backed with practical experience
• Experience with relevant geological software
