Aker Solutions' drilling technologies business based in Kristiansand is a world leading supplier of drilling equipment to the oil and gas industry. We need highly motivated individuals who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the deepwater drilling market.

Responsibilities and tasks

Drilling equipment Kristiansand wish to strengthen the team of skilled engineers, and have vacancies as product engineer on make/break machines.

• Participate in the product team
• Responsible for product development, engineering, documentation, test and project deliveries
• Sales and lifecycle support
• Participate in development programs
• Contribute to product improvements and standardization
• Contribute to cost reductions

Qualifications & personal attributes

• Technical education on a university level (BSc/MSc) (Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education. Technicians with relevant experience may be considered)
• Experience with mechanical design and design tools
• Pro-E and ACAD experience is an advantage
• Good in English both written and oral
• Good communication and co-operation skills
• Able to work independently as part of a team
• Organized and focused on quality, cost and timely delivery
• Comprehend the value of high quality documentation
