Geologist Brisbane, QLD, Australia (for residents)
We are looking for a Geologist to join one of Brisbane's premier oil and gas operating companies.
The company has an impressive acreage position, both exploration and production assets and has interests in conventional oil and gas as well as shale gas and coal seam gas.
The role of Geologist will be responsible for researching and production of all geological data, assisting in designing, planning and implementing drilling programs and providing technical geological advice.
Responsibilities will include;
Verification and quality control of geological data.
Interpret and calibrate geological data.
Conduct reservoir characterisation from drilling and logging and actively participate in geological model construction in cooperation with geophysicists, engineers and geosciences specialists.
Identify key geological issues involved in new prospects.
Provide technical follow-up on geological studies such as well drilling and logging.
Suitable candidate for the role will have;
Tertiary qualification in Geology or Geology related subject
Minimum 3 years experience
Previous gas exploration experience
A salary range of $130,000 - $150,000 is available for this role depending on skills and experience. Salaries outside this range may be available for candidate with exceptional skills.
