Our Client:
Our client is a private junior producer focused on unconventional resource exploration and development. The company is headquartered in Calgary, Canada with over US$400 million of committed equity. The company’s team includes E&P professionals with a proven track record of identifying and exploiting large scale unconventional reservoirs. The company is planning a busy 2012 capital program ($60 - $80MM) with most of the activity focused on drilling and completions of several horizontal wells within NE BC. The organization does have established facilities and is an excellent position for future growth. Due to the growth, the company is seeking an experienced Senior Completions Engineer / Technologist to join their team.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the VP, Production.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Responsible for engineering, program design, and operations for all completions programs.
• Work closely with the drilling engineer and superintendent on well programs and operational activities.
• Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team on field development strategies and planning of drilling programs.
• Prepare all AFEs required for the program work and receive the necessary approvals.
• Ensure all regulatory applications and documentation is completed.
• Participate in the management of drilling / completions operations activities when required.
• Keep informed of new technology within the area of completions.
• Oversee the management and coordination of service providers for drilling activities.
• Monitor all costs associated with completions programs.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Completion of an accredited Technologist diploma or Engineering degree.
• 10+ years of experience of completions experience.
• Previous experience to operations within the Montney / NE BC area is an asset.
• Technologist Designation or PEng. status.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of current horizontal program technology would be an asset.
• Well versed in regulatory requirements with the OGC.
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
• Previous experience working within a junior producer environment would be an asset.
Compensation/Remuneration:
