Aker Solutions' tool pool department is based at Ågotnes outside Bergen, and is responsible for maintenance, modification, and purchasing of new equipment and parts, service documentation and mobilization of tool pool equipment to both the Norwegian continental shelf and overseas missions. We need highly motivated & experienced individuals with relevant background who can strengthen our teams and support our ambitious growth plan within the Subsea Lifecycle Services market.
We are looking for: Assembly & Test Engineers.
• The Assembly and Test Engineer initiates work tasks to be carried out by the workshop, logistic and projects, follows the quality standards and plans the use of resources in order to increase the efficiency of the organization. • Manages the day-to-day work tasks in a cost effective, safe, and efficient manner. • Evaluate the risk of operations and the compliance with laws, standards and policies. • Decide scope of work and issue work packages in accordance with contract requirements. • In cooperation with the client participate in quotation work during the execution of work packages. • Make sure that necessary tools and equipment are available and certified and that spare parts quantity is sufficient to meet future needs. • Responsible for following up the customer (extra work orders, and maintenance-and reparation of equipment). • Contribute to the design and improvement of special tools to perform the work in the workshop. • Inform and rapport to the project manager the progress of the work tasks. • Work in compliance with Aker quality requirements.
• A technical education is desired. Relevant and extended experience can compensate the lack of education. • Knowledge and experience with IT systems is essential. • The Assembly and Test Engineer should be able to carry out multiple tasks at the same time and should be innovative, creative and able to work in a team environment. • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written in Norwegian and English). • Customer focus skills are an added advantage
