Aker Solutions’ Tie-in and Structures team, based at Fornebu, is responsible for delivering Subsea structures and tie-in systems that meet operators’ requirements for easier, quicker and more flexible solutions for both installation and operations. We need individuals with background from mechanical engineering, structural engineering or piping who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Subsea market.
We have an open position as: Manifold Engineering Lead.
Responsibilities and tasks
The position involves responsibility for all technical activities within the Work Package.
· Technical Management of Subsea Structures and Manifolds Projects
· Plan and execute projects according to PEM
· Lead the design development and analysis project groups
· Follow up of procurement within Work Package
· Follow up international subcontractors and fabricators
· Cooperate with Clients and Interfacing Contractors
· The position involves extensive engineering and personnel responsibility within the department, as well as active participation in engineering support to the ongoing department studies and projects.
Qualifications & personal attributes
· MSc or equivalent degree in Engineering within Mechanical, Piping, Structural, Civil, Marine or Naval Architecture
· 7 to 10 years engineering experience from subsea or offshore design and fabrication
· Experience as project manager
· Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written - professional language being English
· Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, ability to plan and organize work in an efficient manner, and ability to work well under stress and time pressure
· Technical competence and economical mind
· Systematic, independent and proactive
