Aker Solutions' based in Houston is looking for talented individuals who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the oil and gas market.

Responsibilities and tasks

1. Provide responses based on root cause analysis for quality issues, customer complaints and corrective action requests.
2. Lead process improvement team activities to resolve any quality problems and improve yield for products.
3. Analyze quality trends and perform root cause analysis.
4. Develop process improvements for incoming inspections such as Dock to Stock products and supplier issues which ultimately lead to the reduction and elimination of inspection for “high yield” products.
5. Assist internal auditors in identifying and correcting problematic areas, products and processes which negatively impact the Quality image of the company.
6. Create, design and develop QA/QC manuals, procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications & personal attributes

1. BS Degree in Engineering or related field
2. 3-5 years experience in design and development of QA/QC manuals, procedures and work instructions
3. 5-8 years experience in inspection, evaluation, testing processes and procedures
4. 3-5 years experience in Advanced Quality Planning
5. Knowledgeable in LEAN concepts, Data Flow methodology and Internal Quality system auditing principles for ISO 9001:2000 standards
6. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
7. Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressures.
