THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a leading independent exploration and production company with operations worldwide to provide a Senior Drilling Engineer. Permanent staff position based in Paris. Travel as required by client. Remuneration dependent upon experience and qualifications.
THE PERSON
10 - 15 years relevant experience in drilling engineering in the oil and gas industry. Design, wellhead and tubulars procurement. Assistance in preparation phase. Engineering preparation and logistics. Act as Drilling Advisor in preparation of field development plans, acquisitions etc. Established track record. Perform tasks in line with HSE guidelines. Daily operations following drilling programme, well design, policy and regulations. Forecasting, tracking and control of drilling costs. Approval of the Drilling Programme and identification of contingency plans. Operations and QA / QC assurance. Operate drilling logistics support and back-up / contingency equipment and service contractors support. Integrity of drilling operations. Water well delivery plan.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Ideal candidate will have an engineering degree with technical background in relevant subject or other qualifications / experience. IWCF combined well control, UKOOA Medical, Fire Fighting and Survival Certification. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a multi-cultural environment and demonstrate effective organisational skills. Computer literate. Excellent communication and presentation skills, including fluent written and spoken English and French essential. Must be eligible to reside and work in France.
