Excellent opportunity for a Mining Engineer joining the Corporate Engineering team. This position will report to the Corporate Director of Process & Technology and will be responsible for providing technical support and engineering assistance to all company facilities.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Management Team and perform feasibility studies to investigate potential new sites for business development in aggregates and cement.
Perform periodic inspection and auditing of all TA aggregate and cement quarries to review development and propose necessary modifications to current mining plans for optimum utilization of available resources. Provide assistance in any compliance and regulatory issues of new and existing quarries.
Support Project Managers in the design and implementation of capital plans for new aggregates production facilities and development of new quarries.
Provide input to Project Managers regarding budget and time schedule preparation of major projects and supervise site and soil survey works to estimate available reserves and life of potential mining sites.
Develop and maintain a “reserves” database to keep track of:
◦Available reserves and quarry life
◦Quality data on reserves
◦Short, mid- and long-term mining plans
◦Site permitting and related information
◦Restoration and environmental remediation plans
Review and evaluate contracts for special quarrying activities such as blasting, drilling, etc.
Keep track of any regulatory and legislation changes regarding mining of existing quarries.
Develop and publish Key Performance Indicator Reports for aggregate and cement quarries to assist management in identifying cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
B.S. Degree in Mining Engineering is required; registered Professional Engineer (PE)
3-5 years experience as a Mining Engineer in the aggregates or cement industry.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, mining modeling with Vulcan software and aggregate facilities modeling with AggFlow or other computer aided design packages will be considered a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in MS Office programs required (i.e.,Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Must possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
