Overview:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the VP of Investor Services with
managerial responsibilities for the IS department with staff daily duties and responsibilities, with the main focus being on the communications and correspondence duties of the IS department. Oral and written correspondence with our investors and sales representatives concerning their investments will be a major priority for the successful candidate.
This is a fast paced office with a large work load. Successful candidate should possess willingness to adapt to stressful situations and to changes in processes and procedures due to market influctuations, securities structuring and tax regulations, as well as the
ability to handle and diffuse difficult inquiries and phone calls. This individual will be a mentor to others in the department.
Responsibilities:
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assisting VP of Investor Services with managerial duties (approving of work flow, call
flow employee management).
Answering phone calls and email inquiries from investors, sales representatives and
broker dealer back office personnel concerning the activity of the natural gas
drilling partnerships and other possible tax advantaged investments.
Writing and assisting with various communications to the sales representatives and
investors concerning their investments including monthly check distribution comments,
letters and emails (as needed).
Qualifications & Work Environment:
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of alternative investments including but not limited to direct participation programs and Master Limited Partnerships, along with basic tax guidelines pertaining to these investments.
Excellent communication skills for both telephone and written correspondence.
Ability to convey and explain complex investment concepts.
Ability to multi-task.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience
Bachelor degree at accredited University/College or equivalent 4 years professional
experience.
Experience in an advisory/brokerage firm or the like.
Series 7 license preferred, but not required.
Legal background a plus.
Working Environment
Work in this position is primarily based in an office where there is no exposure to extreme hot/cold temperatures which is well-lit and relatively free from dangerous working conditions.
