Our client is a leading engineering & petrochemical company listed on the stock exchange. They are now on the look out for an Electrical & Instrumentation or E&I Design Drafter to work within their engineering team.

The ideal candidate would be an E&I design draftsperson, (NOT a CAD Operator) with anything between 4 to 10 years experience in a large engineering/ mining/ pharmaceutical or petrochemical industry. Role profile would be to do design drafting and documentation for small electrical & instrumentation equipment projects such as maintenance, replacement and capacity enhancement project. Work involves plant layouts, termination, loop & wiring diagrams, panel arrangements, pivotal’s, for mostly low (11-24KV) and some medium voltage systems.  Candidates who have previously been hands-on electrical trades/supervisors and now have recent drafting experience would also be well regarded.

Exposure to Siemens PLC, DCS systems would be good. Knowledge of using AVEVA, IDO, GIDS imatools, and instrument databases tools would be very useful. Producing ‘as built’ drawings of existing plant and equipment would be part of the role responsibility.

Location is Central Brisbane region with own transport is desirable.
