Job description:

Frasers Underground

We are seeking a mechanically minded candidate to join the maintenance team at our Frasers Underground workshop. This position's primary responsibility is to maintain and service the Oceana Gold underground mining fleet and ancillary equipment and works on an attractive 8/6, 7/7 roster.

Specific duties will include:

  • Carrying out daily inspections and machine audits and ensuring all defects are entered to backlog
  • Completing all oil/filer changes and sampling as scheduled in the maintenance plan and requested by the Maintenance Leading Hand
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and site safety programmes, and ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment at all times.

To be successful in this role you will possess a flexible and professional approach to duties as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining quality. A mechanical/electrical trade certificate and maintenance experience would be highly regarded.
