As Group Leader Project Engineering within the area of high-voltage switchgear, you will supervise a team of around 14 staff members in a managerial and functional capacity. In your role as a staff supervisor, you will co-develop targets for your specific field of responsibility, optimise technological processes and solutions, plan the deployment of staff on the basis of their suitability and qualifications, nurture expertise and cost awareness, and monitor compliance with legal, collective-bargaining and company-specific regulations. As regards your professional remit, you will focus on primary, system and construction planning, i.e. you will be responsible for overseeing complex engineering issues relating to power plant systems. In particular, you will analyse customer requirements, review feasibility on the basis of technical and commercial aspects, liaise with all units concerned and draw up the appropriate specifications from an engineering perspective. Where required, you will define possible solutions, in addition to coordinating and monitoring the execution of projects in accordance with specified milestones, deadlines and budgets.
To be considered for this position, you will require a degree in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis on Power Engineering or Mechatronics, and at least five years' experience in the field of system engineering. Ideally, your personal profile will include a proven track record in people management, a team- and results-oriented approach to work and well-developed communication and problem-solving skills. A highly motivated self-starter, you will be accustomed to setting yourself ambitious targets. At the same time, you will relish the opportunity to work within a multicultural environment. As a senior manager employed by a company operating within the global arena, you will have to display a high level of commitment, together with the ability to develop innovative, commercially viable solutions and see them through to fruition. Additionally, you will relish the opportunity of temporary assignments abroad. A solid understanding of MS Office is essential, as is a basic knowledge of any standard CAD application. Finally, you will have a good command of English and German, preferably complemented by additional language skills, e.g. French.
