The organisation has an excellent reputation within the Transmission & Distribution industry with its bespoke equipment solutions and strong product range. They offer both national and international services with the majority of their products designed and manufactured in their Western Sydney facility.

As the Senior Engineer, you will be tasked with providing technical advice and oversight to the engineering department. With your strong technical skills, you will be empowered with the need for continuous adherence to Australian Engineering Standards as well as to lead the team in the design and creation of new products and the modification and improvement of existing ones.

In order to succeed, strong product knowledge of MV/HV switchgear, transformers and circuit breakers is needed. You will be managing the engineering team with their day to day routines as well as mentoring the more junior members.

Strong communication skills are needed as you will have to liaise with multiple departments across the business, including production and marketing, in order to achieve cost estimations and feasibility of products. Both national and international travel will be expected to visit both clients and suppliers.

You will preferably have an electrical or mechanical engineering qualification with strong exposure to the commercial side of a business with excellent report writing skills and be comfortable presenting both internally to staff and management and externally to clients and customers.
