Due to a number of new and exciting opportunities, we are seeking suitably qualified and highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Engineering Manager to provide leadership and direction to a team of Engineers and designers. The Engineering Manager enables the team to deliver engineering on a project in a consistent manner in accordance with company procedures and within agreed budgets and timeframes.
Responsibilities:
Manage the performance of the project team to budget by complying with agreed commitments
Provide engineering personnel within the project team with adequate work delivery methodology documentation (systems, procedures, standards and work instructions etc) and training as required by measuring engineering quality within the project, clarifying expectations and holding direct reports to account.
Ensure that estimates meet specific client and Ausenco job requirements by reviewing and approving capital, engineering and project estimates to ensure they are realistic and complete
Ensure that engineering outputs are delivered in an efficient manner, by maintaining an overview of activity on the project/ study, assisting leads to enhance work delivery methodology, securing additional resources and providing expertise /support where required. Engineering outputs are being completed to a schedule and man-hour budget.
Provide support to Group Engineering activities and actively support work sharing opportunities with Ausenco’s Global engineering offices to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Requirements:
Relevant undergraduate degree in engineering.
Previous history of working in South America would be preferred.
Extensive experience across different engineering areas.
Proven ability to lead teams.
Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels.
Must have Spanish and English language skills
Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel.
Highly developed self management skills, including time management.
Willingness to travel
