Experienced Shot Firers

A mining operation in the Northern Territory only a small flight from Darwin is looking to hire a few shot firers to work in an established team.. This position attracts a competitive salary package and relocation assistance as required.  The role is a 2/2 from Darwin and would look at FIFO options but a move to Darwin is preferred.

Position

• With the levels of work at our clients operations they are always looking for experienced Appointed Shot firers.
• Reporting to the Drill and Blast supervisor, you will possess an overriding commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Team Work, striving to be a pro-active and conscientious member of the Mining team, whilst helping to achieve production targets.

Skills and Experience

• This role requires extensive shot firing experience with explosives, and will involve general shot firing duties.
• The role will also incorporate magazine management, quality assurance and operating loaders.
• You will possess a Shot Firers Ticket and a Dangerous Goods Security Card.
• A High regard for health and safety in this role is a necessity at all times.
