BAE Systems Australia's Maritime business owns and operates two established shipyards and undercover fabrication facilities in Williamstown and in Henderson (Perth) providing shipbuilding, maintenance, repair, upgrade, conversion and large structural fabrication and construction services to the defence, commercial maritime and resources industries. Applications are now sought from suitably qualified and experienced facilities managers to ensure the sustainment, optimisation and future enhancement of these facilities.

Your principal accountabilities will include:

• Delivering a Facilities Asset Management Plan that ensures shipbuilding and ship repair infrastructure and security facilities and assets are maintained throughout their lifecycle in a safe, compliant, efficient and cost effective manner.
• Managing facilities services and suppliers.
• Developing and managing site master plans and schedules.
• Facilities capacity planning.
• Long-term facilities infrastructure planning and management including universal infrastructure considerations.
• Ensuring the optimal and complementary utilisation of the Williamstown and Henderson shipyards.

As the ideal applicant, you will have:

• Extensive experience in a senior facilities management role in a shipbuilding or ship repair environment.
• Demonstrable experience of whole of life facility planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance.
• Demonstrable experience managing facilities management suppliers.
• Engineering degree qualifications, preferably in civil engineering, however candidates holding mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications coupled with appropriate experience will also be considered.
• Experience with, or exposure to, materials handling, warehousing, procurement, subcontract management, logistics and environmental compliance/management.
