Description and Desired Qualifications
- The challenge? Ensuring mission success for our clients globally by implementing, and maintaining risk management procedures and tools to support the management of project risk. Our Project Risk Manager position provides an opportunity to directly support a single project or program. This position generally reports to the Project Controls Manager or Project / Program Manager and leads the identification, analysis and tracking of risk and opportunities through the duration of the project lifecycle. Whilst the line manager will be at the project level there will be a direct reporting line to the Business Group Manager of Risk Management.
Each day the Project Risk Manager will be responsible for providing support & guidance to the Project, and for driving the risk management process. This person should be a strong leader with experience in using risk analsyis software such as Primavera Risk Analsyis, Crystal Ball or @Risk. An MS degree is preferable and the candidate should have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Project Risk Manager job.
Note: this is a project position in support of project execution and does not interface with the Insurance or Enterprise Risk Management groups.
Our Project Risk Managers:
• Ensure that project risk management plans and procedures are consistent with Business Group procedures and contractual requirements, and that they adequately provide for effective risk management.
• Ensure project team members comply with the risk management plan and procedures and other risk-specific requirements for their assigned scope of work.
• Lead the evaluation of project risks and opportunities, via risk and opportunities workshops.
• Establish/maintain initial Risk Register.
• Provide support/guidance to risk owners.
• Initiate and oversee risk assessments.
• Facilitate risk workshops with project team, and possibly clients, as well as monthly Risk Reviews, updates and status.
• Compile, summarize and brief risk management reports and supply detailed project risk reports for monthly reporting (as an integrated part of the Project Controls systems).
• Provide risk management training for the project team members.
• Perform subcontractor risk reviews.
• Perform detailed risk analysis on project cost and schedule.
• Integrate project risk management plan with other project execution plans.
