The suitable candidate will have the following attributes:

• A degree in Mining Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution;
• 7-10 years experience in the Australian underground coal mining industry;
• Capabilities in mine scheduling and a history in either geotechnical or ventilation branches of mining engineering;
• Knowledge of regulatory approval requirements and an ability to deliver them;
• Excellent communication abilities and proven experience in the supervision of small teams; and
• A demonstrated commitment to ensuring health and safety of personnel under your responsibility.
