 GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will negotiate, prepare, implement, monitor, and maintain site-wide materials and service contracts. Develop Barrick’s relationship with key suppliers. Assist in the implementation of an effective contract administration process. Work with regional and global strategy; prepare bid requests such as RFP’s, RFI’s RFQ’s contracts, amendments and other contractual documentation. Actively represent the company’s interest regarding contracts administration. Collaborate with the corporate office, regional office, and other mine sites to facilitate knowledge and resource sharing. Other duties as assigned.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Proven record in both internal and external customer service relations required
• Ability to be a team leader in materials negotiations for capital projects required
• Proven safe work record required
• Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years mining industry experience in surface, underground and/or process preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field preferred
• Minimum five (5) years experience in writing, negotiation, and administering contracts preferred
• CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or equivalent designation preferred
• Complete understanding of contract and supply agreements preferred
• Experience and high level of knowledge in purchasing preferred
• Contract supervisory experience in materials management preferred
