GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will manage day-to-day operation of computer based Environmental Management System (EMS) database. Train site personnel in the use of same. Perform audits and inspections of facilities and programs to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and standards. Perform permitting and compliance activities and assist with training of others focusing on their obligations, roles and responsibilities. Maintain compliance with permits and regulations through document control, monitoring and report preparation. Provide support to other sites and region business units as required. Support and champion safety and health and environmental programs and management systems. Other duties as required.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Civil, Mining, Chemical or related field preferred
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products required
• Proficiency in Livelink preferred
• Proficiency in the use of Entropy (RIMS) software preferred
• Experience with ISO-14001- 2004 compliant Environmental Management System required
• Ability to work safely and to be able to positively influence the safety behaviors of others required
• Ability to comply with laws, regulations, policies, standards and procedures required
