Position Synopsis
BHP Billiton is offering an exciting opportunity for Experienced Operators to join our production team here at Mt Arthur Coal. Committed to developing a culture driven by safety, quality and continuous improvement, your highly developed team work and interpersonal skills, combined with strong technical skills and an eye for continuous improvement opportunities will prove essential in your ability to perform this role.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience working as a Production Operator within an open cut mine or have significant civil experience. You are production oriented and focused on achieving results personally and for the company with your key focus on safety.
We are currently seeking highly experienced and team spirited individuals with significant experience operating Mechanical and Electric drive Dump Trucks, Caterpillar dozers (D10 and D11) and graders (16H and 24H) and Liebherr excavators (994 and 996), Hitachi excavators (3500) and P & H 4100 A shovel or similar.

- Demonstrated high level operating skills and experience on the equipment listed above
- A strong commitment to ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace
- Excellent team work and communication skills to enable positive interaction with both production and maintenance personnel.
- The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within the work group.
- Current driver's licence.
- The ability/aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with mine working procedures.
