Coeur Rochester - Environmental Manager

Coeur Rochester, Inc., a subsidiary of Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation, is seeking an Environmental Manager for its surface heap leach operations east of Lovelock Nevada.  This position will be primarily responsible for directing, implementing, and overseeing new and existing environmental management systems for ensuring compliance with corporate policies, local, state, and federal regulations. The Environmental Manger will establish strategies and guidelines, assign responsibilities, measure progress and report results to ensure environmental compliance. This person will also be involved in the inspecting and monitoring of site infrastructure & facilities as well as operations and construction activities to ensure compliance with company’s environmental requirements. Participates in senior advisory role with site spill/mortality prevention systems development and sustainability.   

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mine Engineering or related science field plus 10 year of directly related experience. Demonstrated experience in leading mine site environmental programs and managements systems. Experience with governmental regulatory programs is essential with Nevada experience preferred.  Working knowledge of scientific principles associates with natural resources.
