As a Maintenance Technician with Newmont you will be required to monitor and maintain equipment in a fixed plant mining environment to ensure effective plant production, working a 8 on 6 off roster. Accommodation is provided at the camp while on roster and the role is drive-in and drive-out. The position is responsible for executing electrical maintenance programs and tasks and minimising breakdowns for areas of the Crushing Dry process plant.To ensure maintenance activities are completed in a safe, efficient and effective manner, Electrical Statutory knowledge and High voltage switching experience are essential.

 

Qualifications

 

• Electrical Trade certificate is a must with Certificate IV in Electrical/Instrument desirable
• Electrical Statutory knowledge and High voltage switching experience are essential.
• An understanding of a fully continuous autonomous plant is desirable.
• The position will require the Technician to be a self motivated and be able to work a night shift roster at periodic intervals.
