Drilling Supervisor Viburnum, MO, USA
The Doe Run Company is seeking a drilling supervisor to supervise and coordinate underground prospecting activities within the Viburnum Trend.
Responsibilities:
· Complete diagnostics for equipment used in the underground prospecting program
· Order parts and repairs for equipment as needed
· Supervise all contract drillers to ensure quality of samples
· Inspect work areas to ensure safety and operational compliance
· Work with mine management to coordinate preparation and availability of drill areas
· Coordinate movement of prospecting equipment between drill sites as needed
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma and 7-10 years experience working with mining drill equipment
· Extensive working knowledge of 480 volt AC, hydraulic, diesel and air operated drill equipment
· Welding and cutting experience
· Experience managing use and sequencing of drill equipment
· Ability to work underground
Skills and Abilities:
· Must be an effective communicator (verbal and written), able to offer technical expertise and guidance, building rapport with field geologists and consultants.
