Quality Control Supervisor – Prudhoe Bay, AK

The challenge? Helping ensure the supply of our world's oil and gas. At CH2M HILL, we deliver solutions that span the entire breadth of the oil industry. Our Quality Control Supervisor job will provide you with the opportunity to work on large scale oil and gas projects. Each day you will lead a quality control staff and make independent decisions concerning the quality function. You should be a self motivated, detail oriented professional with ten years of related work experience in Quality Control with a desire to grow personally and professionally with each project.

Our Quality Supervisors:

 

  • Supervise staff and makie independent decisions concerning quality functions.
  • Maintain compliance with established project, Corporate and customer quality assurance and control requirements.
  • Advise and consult the Principal QC/QA in the planning and execution of project quality control requirements.
  • Assist in the processing of installation procedures.
  • Work on and assists in making changes on non-conformance reports.
  • Notify superiors of any discrepancies found between work completed and material installed and specs.
  • Performs special process and field installation inspections and surveillance of equipment and materials.
  • Studies engineering drawings, suggests changes in them and makes changes within scope of responsibility or upon approval.
  • Updates Quality assurance files.
  • Performs field and/or Fab Shop inspections.
  • Attend training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes as required by department.
  • Possess current knowledge of Engineering, quality control and organizational practices.
  • Have excellent written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
  • Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.
  • Have excellent written and oral communications skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of personnel from diverse backgrounds.
  • Have excellent computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and FileMaker Pro. 


    • Special Note: This position is on the North Slop and requiresa 4 week on and 2 week off rotation schedule. 

    Basic Qualifications

     

  • Six to eight (6-8) years of Engineering and quality control experience or in relevant field.
  • Must be able to represent CH2M HILL and negotiate favorably with key members of the other firms and agencies.
  • BA/BS college or university degree in engineering or business. May substitute field experience for degree.
  • Must have a current Certified Welding Inspector certificate per AWS QC1 or State of Alaska Journeyman Certificate of Fitness, or Electrical Administrator License base don the project requirements.

    Certifications Required

    Certified Welding Inspector certificate per AWS QC1 and Valid driver's license
