Feasibility studies & Execution Phases

• Participate in the feasibility study and detailed engineering and assist with the gathering of relevant information from the existing metallurgical plant/mine personnel. This will include the review of the process design criteria, the generation of mass, water and energy balances, process equipment sizing and selection, metallurgical flow-sheets, piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs), the preparation of plant general arrangements and layouts, capital costs and operating cost estimates.
• Conduct enough Metallurgical work by selecting representative samples and review Metallurgical Test Procedure.
• In conjunction with operation, select the Process Tech. suitable for the Ore type and define the plant throughput.
• Verify the design and insure that it is as per Ma’aden Standards and Specifications.
• Assist in equipment selections and review O/M manuals.
• Assite in Developing operation procedure.
• Attend equipment performance tests and lead HAZAP review meetings.
• Attend and lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Metallurgical schedule

• Ensuring that the Project metallurgical schedule is met and that designs are according to Ma’aden requirements and cost effective.

Test work

• Evaluates results and interpretations, assist with trouble shooting and assures the needed training and direction of subordinates in quality, test work methodology, safety and time management.
• Design and costing of metallurgical test work programs to achieve the project objectives.
• Participate in project decision making during the test work program.
• Assist with monthly invoicing of clients for test work completed.

Data

• Controls the Data processing control, reporting of test work according to company guidelines and report writing.

Project work schedule

• Assures the work is scheduled and carried out in a timely manner, and relevant quality benchmarks are maintained.
• Meet company targets with respect to turnover and quality.

HSE

• Ensuring that all aspects of the Project are managed to best practice OHS&E standards and statutory requirements.

Other

• Perform any other reasonable task as assigned by direct line manager.
