Description:We currently have a requirement for a Process Engineer with heavy-industrial (Oil & Gas and/or Petrochemical) project experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) is a definite preference
Graduate of recognized Chemical Engineering degree program
Minimum of 10 to 15 years process design experience in Oil Refinery/Petrochemical environment
Familiarity with process conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, operations and maintenance
Proficient with standard computer tool set (Hysys, ProII)
Solid working knowledge of petroleum refining codes, standards and practices (API, ANSE, NFPA, NACE, and ASTM)
Working knowledge of Environmental Emission Requirements and Permitting Process
Experience with HAZOP facilitation
Definite preference shown to candidates with Oil & Gas Refinery project experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serving as an information resource to other engineering departments during the conceptual, preliminary and detailed engineering, construction and start-up of the project(s)
Leading/Mentoring a team of Process Engineers
Process Equipment Evaluations (Specifications, Sizing, Selection)
Performing various process design calculations including line sizing, hydraulics, equipment sizing, PSV and flare system sizing, instrumentation and control data sheets, line designations tables, etc
Process Simulation work (Hysys, Pro II)
Facilitating HAZOP's as required
