THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a major international oil company to provide an XT Engineer for a residential position based in Malaysia, with missions to Contractor controls, main Project locations, test sites (Europe), Angola and offshore locations. Clients project is being developed with 7 sub-sea wells. 1 year (renewable) contract. Excellent rates.
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate will have 7 years experience in subsea engineering associated with marine wellheads, Xmas Trees systems, and exposure to operations & manufacturing environments. Good knowledge of system & design, more specifically manufacturing and testing of subsea equipment with minimum of 7 years experience, most likely with some experience of offshore installation phase. Role will include: Assist in evaluation of XT equipment systems and designs for Project sub-sea field development. Provide technical guidance and support. Will be involved in review and approval of Contractor design and analysis of subsea equipment specific to Xmas Trees, Tubing Hanger System, Running Tools and other associated equipment. Will participate during FAT & E-FAT and be involved in supervision of pre-installation and the installation phase. Will be responsible for compliance with Company Procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Subsea related discipline, or equivalent. Working knowledge of industry standards related to subsea systems, e.g. API 6A, 17A, 17D, 16A and ISO 13628 series. Candidate should have skills in Engineering, Sub-sea wells, Construction, Operations, HSE, Cost control, Planning, Contractor management and Quality. Familiar with constraints of operations and associated interfaces. Effective team player & communicator. Fluent written & spoken English.
