THE ROLE
A major international oil and gas operating company has requested CCL to provide a Subsea Equipment Engineer on rotational basis to be based in Luanda. 12 month (renewable) contract. Must be prepared to travel as required by client. Excellent rates and remuneration package.
THE PERSON
Ideal candidate would be an experienced Subsea project engineer, with formal qualifications and specific experience in Subsea Equipment. Minimum of 5 years engineering experience working with subsea equipment, such as trees manifolds, valves and have a knowledge of subsea materials, with either a significant proportion of time in subsea operations or projects. Broad industry experience and possess knowledge of the design and operation of typical subsea equipment including trees, manifolds and connector systems, and the applicable subsea industry standards and practice. An understanding of subsea materials, manufacturing methods, welding and quality processes is also required. Knowledge of standards and group practices is desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Minimum Degree level qualified in an engineering discipline. Chartered Engineer or should be working towards chartered status. Safe and efficient operation of subsea trees, manifolds and other seabed structures, multiphase meters, valves, erosion and corrosion monitoring equipment, choke valves and connector systems and well jumpers. Responsibility for ensuring the operability and integrity of the Subsea production system. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Experience of multicultural project teams.
