Aker Solutions' Drilling Risers based in Mobile, AL, USA, inspects services and repairs our clients' riser systems. We need a talented team player who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the drilling lifecycle services market. We are looking for a: Engineer II
Responsibilities and tasks
TITLE: Engineer
REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager
Summary: Responsible for providing all necessary engineering & technical support for the DLS operations at Mobile, AL. Facility.
Essential Functions:
•Support the Service Coordinators in their customer contacts related to technical and operational issues.
•Provide and update all necessary procedures and work instructions for the workshop and offshore service work for ADR in the US.
•Serve as a single point of contact for all collaboration with the ADR product groups.
•Support the workshop in evaluation of deviations and provide recommendations based on established criteria from product groups.
•Provide technical and operations feedback to the product groups related to the ADR product, operating out of the US.
•Serve as a single point of contact for clarification of technical issues related to ongoing offshore operations.
Qualifications & personal attributes
•BS Engineering, preferred with minimum 4+ years experience in design, installation, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment with Risers preferred
•Experience with AutoCAD/Solidworks programming.
•Well developed customer focus for both internal and external stakeholders.
•Position requires strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
•Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressures.
