Our client is a wholly Australian-owned Company that has grown to be an industry leader in the collection, transportation, processing and recycling of liquid, sludge and solid waste. They are looking for a Plant Engineer to join their team in North Western Sydney and start making a difference.
 
This person is expected to oversee modifications and also make suggestions to improve equipment performance (through reduced maintenance downtime, lower running costs, improved throughput/capacity/safety or better utilisation). Implementation and maintenance of a CMMS is also a requirement to ensure legislative compliance and development of an accurate database.

As a key member of the Technical and Compliance Team, to be successful in this role you will need

• Qualifications in CHemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience in a process industry, with experience in solid and liquid waste management seen as an advantage
• Superior communication skills
• Better than average skills with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Visio
• Strong people and time management skills
• A desire to develop a strong compliance culture.

You will be well versed with state and federal OHS and Environmental legislation, have strong project and time management skills.

You will feel at ease working with internal and external stakeholders and have the ability to drive your team to meet project timelines and budgets.
