• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Technology
• Background in a product development environment
• Software design - development of embedded systems

Due to an internal promotion, my client is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with a solid understanding and experience in a product development environment.
Key to this role is also strong communication skills coupled with the ability of training field operations teams in the use of the equipment. 
The company supports customers all over the world so some travel may be required but for most of the time the role is based in Sydney.
 
Role description:

• Software design and development of embedded systems
• Development of testing and simulation tools
• Training and handover of products to the Field teams around the world
• Prototyping and field testing of new products
• QA testing
• Document and root cause analysis

Skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Technology. Electronics or electrical background preferred
• Embedded software development in C/C++
• Real time embedded systems
• Microprocessor architectures 
• Electronic system design (Hardware - schematics and PCB layout)
• Software testing experience
• Strong digital and analogue systems background
• Working knowledge of full software lifecycle
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
