An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Maintenance Planner at our Coppabella Mine Site, only 140km south-west of Mackay.  You will be accountable for planning; scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities on Trucks & Water Carts across site, ensuring the availability, safety and reliability of equipment are achieved to meet business requirements.   

Based on site at our Coppabella Mine Site, only 140km South West of Mackay and Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, this position forms part of the Engineering team within the broader technical services division on site. You will be responsible for the preparation of the short term 1-2 year mine schedule, ensuing that planning works are progressing efficiently, safely and in accordance with the requirements of the overall business and mine site.

This permanent position will see you working closely with our production team to assist with managing the strategic planning process for operations and ensuring costs, budgets and targets are achieved. 

Critical to your success will be your experience of open cut mining operations preferably within the coal industry and relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering or related discipline.  You will have a thorough knowledge of mine planning software such as Vulcan and enjoy the challenge of working in a diverse environment.  You will possess well developed communication, negotiating and influencing skills and be confident in your knowledge of project management practices.
