Metropolitan is located 30km North of Wollongong. This mine has gained a solid reputation as a reliable, competitive supplier of premium coking coal to a wide range of export markets.

We are currently sourcing an experienced Project Civil Structural Engineer to be based at Metropolitan in our onsite projects team on a 12 month contract. Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Engineer will work with the Project Team to aid in the review, selection and installation of the following:

Material handling system
Prep Plant upgrade
Underground belt system
Backfill Plant integration
Surface facilities
Surveying reviews
Foundation design
Construction management

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline and have experience in the review, selection and construction of equipment.
