CH2M HILL Mid-level Electrical Engineer Jobs – Anchorage, AK

Our Mid-level Electrical Engineer position will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting Energy and Chemical projects in our Anchorage office. Each day you will be an important team member as you participate in the design, coordination, and execution of Electrical projects for our clients. You should be a self motivated, detail oriented professional with six (6)years of experience in Electrical Engineering design work for the Energy and Chemical sectors.

Our Mid-level Electrical Engineer:

• Researches and analyzes data such as client design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
• Works with clients to develop project scope of work; engineering and construction estimates; and schedules
• Is responsible for developing electrical drawings, usually in association with designers and other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
• Develops equipment lists, material requisitions, purchase specifications and other documents related to electrical equipment
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering and design calculations and other engineering tasks
• Has the ability to direct and coordinate fabrication, construction, installation, and operational testing to ensure electrical systems conform to engineering design, client specifications, and applicable codes, regulations, and laws
• Mentors young engineers and designers in electrical engineering and design

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 
• Six (6) years of electrical engineering experience - preferably design
• Alaska PE (or ability to obtain Alaska registration within six (6) months)
• In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code and other electrical standards
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of electrical engineering, cost estimating, schedules and safety
• Experience reviewing and approving project drawings (electrical portion)
• Functional experience with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with hydrocarbon processing
• Experience coordinating electrical engineering and design activities with other project disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Arctic experience (Preferred)
• Previous Oil and Gas industry experience (Preferred)

Degree Required

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
