PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION
 
The Front Line Supervisor will be responsible for the direction, management and leadership of a shift or a segment of a mining operation across all shift.
 
The Front Line Supervisor will demonstrate DMC’ s core values of: Zero Harm, Respect and Integrity, Entrepreneurial Spirit, and Operational Excellence.
 
 
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plans and coordinates work activities to meet safe production requirements, production schedules and mining plan.
2. Monitors compliance to all government legislation, company standards and site requirements by workers under the incumbent’s supervision.
3. Coordinator production work with mechanical, electrical and engineering service groups.
4. Identifies training needs and complies with training schedules.
5. Works with employees to resolves disputes.
6. Ensures that all employees are properly trained in the work they are required to perform.
7. Ensures that all operations are in compliance with legal requirements, company and site regulations.
8. Inspects all work areas and requests corrective action from subordinates.
9. Ensures health and safety procedures are complied with.
10. Demonstrates commitment to the continued improvement of Occupational Health and Safety performance.

 QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

•  Supervisory Common Core certification
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the mining field
• Experience managing and leading a team of employees
