The Company

With a strong reputation across the electrical industry for quality and an excellent range of Protection and Control products and services, this global electrical manufacturer is seeking a Business Development Manager for their Protection and Control product range. As the manufacturer of these products this company will mentor and train the Business Development Manager into an expert of Protection and Control in products and application.

The Role

Due to planned expansion an opportunity has become available for a new Western Australian Business Development Manager to join their team based in Perth. The responsibilities of the role include:

• Building strong relationships with clients across the Utilities, Mining, Water, Oil and Gas and Transport industries
• Selling in and specifying a range of protection and control products for application in Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Motor protection through to Low Voltage
• Identifying opportunities, training clients, quoting, proposals, and following up to secure the orders

The successful candidate will be provided with the specific product training, autonomy, a generous commission system, and benefits that include health and paid study. To be successful in this role you will need:

• Electrical Engineering background
• Practical and technical knowledge of Electrical Protection and related Control products
• Knowledge of ABB, Schneider, SEL, Alstom or Siemens Protection products
• Sales experience in selling the above products and specifying in projects
• Proactive and driven sales personality
• A ‘Hunter’ mentality when it comes to sales
