This well regarded Engineering Consulting is a multi-national award winning business having worked on some of the worlds most iconic projects over the past 150 years.

They are well known within the property, transport, utilities and environmental sectors, more locally they are established in the NSW and QLD mining and resources market across a broad range of mining infrastructure projects.  Within the Resources space our client provides a range of strategic advisory, engineering design, assessment and verification across multiple lifecycles of a mining project.  A new position exists for a Civil Design Manager Resources.

This role will be reporting to the Design Services Team Leader working within a team of approximately 70 people.  It will be the Civil Design Managers responsibility to manage and oversee design work completed on Resource sector projects.  You will become engaged in the companys exciting Resources strategy and spend time developing working relationships with other internal sectors of the business, including a recently acquired materials handling engineering company.  This is very much a design management role and not a hands on design role, however it is important that you are up to speed with best of breed practices and engineering principals and are willing to impart your knowledge to others.

You will be involved in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from a design perspective but with the project controls function reporting into you will be somewhat responsible for scheduling and cost control.

Requirements for the role;

• Bachelor Degree Civil Engineering, RPEQ
• At least 10 years experience within an engineering or EPCM firm
• Mining background with at least 3-4 years experience, good knowledge and network of the local mining industry
