CH2M HILL Environmental Project Manager Careers - Whitehorse, Canada

Our Senior Environmental Project Manager jobs are your opportunity to help restore environmentally impaired mining sites, and support mine planning and design. You will support mining projects in all phases of the mining life-cycle, from feasibility studies through detailed design and construction. You should be a self-motivated, team-focused individual with a minimum B.S. in Engineering (M.S. preferred) and successful 10-20 year track record in the geotechnical engineering field, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Project Management job.

Our Senior Environmental Project Managers:

· Support and lead other project managers with data analysis and selection of mine remediation technologies.

· Provide project management and technical support on mine planning, permitting, and water treatment projects.

· Develop and maintain working relationships with clients in the mining market, while continuing to grow the volume of business with each client.

· Evaluate programs for efficiency in project delivery and develop improvements to secure our leadership position with our clients.

· Manage day to day interaction, as well as maintain responsibility for presentation information and participation at meetings with our clients and regulatory stakeholders.

· Plan, staff, schedule, budget, coordinate subcontractors and internal support, and assure quality as well as safety.

· Grow the project management resources of the firm through coaching of junior and mid-level project managers and task managers.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelors degree in Environmental, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geology or related Environmental Science discipline

· 10 - 20 years of environmental experience

· Experience managing projects involving environmental permitting, water treatment, and remediation including budget, schedule, scope and change management

· Demonstrated experience in working directly with mining clients

· Demonstrated experience in working directly with project managers and staff on multiple project

Degree Required

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
